Chemical transfer of Pitman script onto fabric. The text is a poem written by the artist in Pitman script entitled 'Whispers of the Pen' The artist chose the method of chemical transfer as this process slowly fades in time to represent the fading use of Pitman script. The significance of using fabric to transfer the poem onto is because fabric is traditionally associated with women's craft.

Pitman Script in ink on a candle on a plinth. The artist has written a poem entitled 'Fading Away, and transcribed it into Pitman Script. The use of a candle as the chosen medium is because the burning of the candle represents the script slowly fading away.

Testimonies of women who attended Pitmans college and subsiquently worked in offices using Pitman Script shorthand. The artist has chosen to stitch the transcript onto fabric to symbolise preserving the disappearing language.
