With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Penn State and a Masters of Fine Arts degree from the University of Albany, Julie Dorlon has many years experience in painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, crafts and art history. Her major for both degrees was drawing and painting with a minor in art history. She has had many teaching jobs including adjunct professor at the University of New Haven, CT teaching art history and visiting professor teaching drawing at Connecticut College. Once realizing teaching younger audiences was her passion, she went back to Penn State for her Art Education Certification in 2000. Julie had tenure in Upstate New York at Averill Park School District teaching both elementary and high school art. Currently, she has completed various art leave replacement positions. Teaching mainly in the Wyckoff, NJ school district she fulfilled an almost year long art position at Coolidge Elementary School and five months teaching middle school art at Eisenhower Middle School.
