Hi! I'm Julie.
I'm a multimedia journalist based in Brooklyn, NY. I write about global health issues, the environmental impacts of fast fashion, and the intersection of climate and health, along with anything science-related.
I'm a master's student at NYU in the Science, Health, and Environmental Reporting Program at the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute, where I’ve been awarded the Felsten-Fishman Fellowship.
I'm currently interning at The New Lede, covering environment and health stories across the US.
Previously, I worked as a journalist and associate producer at Canada’s public broadcaster. At CBC News, I produced interview segments for several national broadcasts, as well as explainer-style videos on a variety of breaking news topics.
I hold a B.A. in Communication Studies and Creative Writing from Concordia University in Montreal, and I studied Television and Film Production at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario.
