I have worked as an Assistant Production manager for four years. An APM works closely with the Department of Theatre on the administrative preparation and execution of Babcock Theatre, Studio 115, and Meldrum Theater productions, including maintenance and creation of venue and rehearsal calendars, budgets, contracts, and royalty agreements. I am the longest-standing person in this position. I have trained five other employees and managed their projects as well as my own.
Below Is A List Of Major Responsibilities With Examples
A major responsibility is to try out different software for the Department of Theatre. I have experience in: Prospero, Qlab, Airtable, Stage Write, and Propared
Coordinating auditions and callbacks for seven-plus shows every season. This includes making the audition form, scheduling callbacks, making casting contracts, and making sure everything runs smoothly.
I apply to all the shows we consider for our upcoming seasons. I also keep track of all our contracts and make sure royalties get paid.
This season I helped develop a new scheduling system for room bookings, deadlines, and all show related events using Prospero.Â
