ABSTRACT PHOTOGRAPHY
This sequence focuses on the vertical dynamism of city architecture. By mirroring perspectives of skyscrapers, I constructed a surreal composition that distorts scale and symmetry. The sharp lines and reflective surfaces evoke a futuristic, mechanical beauty, transforming urban environments into abstract patterns of glass and steel. All photographs were taken around London, and later modified and mirrored using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
In this series, I manipulated light and exposure to emphasize smooth, flowing shapes within architectural forms. The high contrast and mirrored symmetry create an almost organic aesthetic, blurring the line between structure and movement. The repetition and curvature invite viewers to interpret the image beyond its architectural origins. The piece photographed in this series is the architectural piece at mathematics gallery of London’s Science Museum by Zaha Hadid Architects.
For this shoot, I explored the sculptural and geometric qualities of modern architectural design. Using monochrome tones and strong directional lighting, I highlighted angular forms, sharp edges, and the interplay between light and shadow. The images isolate sections of buildings and metal frameworks to create compositions that feel both architectural and sculptural. By simplifying colour and focusing on shape, the series captures the tension between structure and space, precision and abstraction.
TIMELESS BEAUTY
During my A-Level Photography Personal Investigation, I set out to explore how architectural abstraction creates a unique visual language, one that transforms structures into a form of poetic expression through composition and form. My longstanding fascination with black and white photography inspired me to focus my project on this medium, as I believe it imbues images with deeper meaning, enhancing their emotional impact and timeless quality.
One of my greatest influences has been the work of Ezra Stoller. His photographs resonate profoundly, leaving a lasting impression through their memorable and thoughtfully composed scenes. Stoller’s images are rich with detail, yet they also convey a serene stillness, evoking the experience of viewing a painting. This balance of complexity and quietude is the essence I aimed to capture in my own work.
MOTION GRAPHICS
EVANGELION
For this project, I recreated the iconic title sequence from the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion using Adobe After Effects and Procreate. Every visual element was hand-drawn and designed by me in Procreate, allowing me to reinterpret the original style while adding my own illustrative flair. The animation combines frame-by-frame techniques with After Effects motion design, blending organic movement with digital precision.
This project deepened my understanding of timing, composition, and synchronization in motion graphics, as well as the integration of illustration and animation workflows. By studying and reconstructing an existing sequence, I developed a stronger grasp of visual rhythm, colour pacing, and type animation, key elements that define impactful title design.
ANIMATION
HOLLOW KNIGHT: SILKSONG
As a third-year Digital Media student, I was challenged to complete a short pilot project over a two-week period. For my first pilot project, I decided to create a 15-second promotional reel for Hollow Knight: Silksong, using a combination of frame-by-frame animation and Adobe After Effects.
PUBLISHING & PRINT
LYNKA PROJECT
During my Media Studies course, I produced a music video for a song of my choice, accompanied by a magazine front cover and double-page spread to create a cohesive promotional package. My set brief focused on targeting a teenage and young adult audience while conforming to the conventions of an independent record label.
The music video combines both narrative and performance elements to explore themes of time passage, happiness, and personal growth, while representing my chosen social group in a positive and relatable way. To demonstrate cross-media digital convergence, I designed the magazine elements to promote my artist and music video consistently across formats.
In addition to the visual media, I wrote a feature article that delves into my artist’s past experiences, reflecting the issues represented in the music video. My intention was to create a sense of authenticity and relatability, allowing the audience to connect emotionally with the artist.
My creative decisions were informed by research into the interests and values of my target audience, as well as analysis of relevant media texts. I drew inspiration from the music video “I Don’t Think I Can Do This Again” by Clairo for its aesthetic and tone. In contrast, I referenced fashion magazines such as Vogue when designing the magazine front cover, aiming to present my artist as both aspirational and inspirational, while also offering a sense of escapism for the audience.
VIDEO GAME DESIGN
Captive is an immersive narrative-driven video game exploring the five stages of grief through symbolic environments, emotionally charged character design, and atmospheric sound. The project was developed collaboratively over three months, with the goal of placing players inside the mind of grief itself - not as observers, but as participants experiencing emotional disorientation and reflection.
As team lead and creative director, I oversaw multiple aspects of the project, including writing, storyboarding, visual direction, and sound design, while coordinating the team’s workflow and creative cohesion. My focus was on ensuring that every element, such as visuals, sound, space, and movement worked together to build a consistent emotional experience. The game’s design emphasizes visual storytelling over exposition, using symbolic character designs and unsettling, shifting environments to express emotion through form and atmosphere. The stripped-back interface and minimal interaction mechanics were deliberate choices, drawing attention to immersion and mood rather than gameplay complexity.
This project taught me that leadership is less about control and more about trust, motivation, and creative problem-solving, especially when working with new tools and ambitious ideas. Captive remains one of the most meaningful projects I’ve worked on. It represents not just an exploration of grief and emotional storytelling, but also the power of teamwork and persistence in the creative process.
BROADCAST PRODUCTION
Provided real-time in-game camera coverage for the Apex Legends Global Series, focusing on both wide-angle and cinematic perspectives to enhance the viewer experience during live broadcasts. Collaborated closely with production teams to ensure smooth transitions, engaging visual storytelling, and high-quality spectator views that aligned with the fast-paced nature of competitive esports. This role required strong attention to detail, situational awareness, and a deep understanding of gameplay mechanics to effectively anticipate and capture key moments under pressure.
MUSIC VIDEO
In this collaborative music video project, I took on the role of Lead Editor, working closely with a small production team to bring together our shared creative vision. My main responsibility was to assemble, refine, and stylize the final edit, ensuring the video’s pacing, tone, and visual rhythm aligned with both the music and narrative intent. I managed the post-production workflow in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, coordinating with the cinematography and direction teams to maintain consistency in mood and colour across all scenes. My editing approach focused on timing visual transitions to musical cues, and enhancing emotional impact through rhythm, contrast, and shot sequencing.
