Julia Thomas is a comic artist, illustrator, and animator based in Reston, Virginia. She graduated in the spring of 2026 from George Mason University, earning a B.F.A in Art and Visual Technology and a minor in Computer Game Design. Julia has worked on animations for international event announcements and recently collaborated with Amtrak to create an animation for their social media pages. Julia has also worked on commissioned murals, paintings, designs, and illustrations. She is currently working on a graphic novel project titled “Accounts of the Apocalypse.” Julia’s work is inspired by themes surrounding nature’s relationship with humankind and the possibilities of what an apocalyptic world might look like. She has recently been focused on creating digital art centering around sequential art and world-building. Julia is currently exploring her options moving forward in the art world and she hopes to make her passions come to life through storytelling.
