I joined the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) as a Mathematical Statistician in 2023. I was previously a Professor and Director of the Graybill Statistics & Data Science Laboratory in the Department of Statistics at Colorado State University (CSU). I joined the faculty at CSU in 2016 following about 9 years at Clemson University in Clemson, SC. I earned my B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Evansville (1998) and M.S. and Ph.D. in Statistics from Montana State University (2001, and 2007, respectively).

I am an active member of the American Statistical Association (ASA). I have served on the ASA Board of Directors as the Council of Chapters Representative and as Vice Chair and Chair of the Council of Chapters Governing Board. I received the ASA Section on Statistical Consulting Mentoring Award in 2021 and was selected as a Fellow of the ASA in 2022. I led the formation of the ASA Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Outreach Group. I have chaired the ASA Nominations Committee, a Diversity and Inclusion Task Force, and a Meetings Task Force. I have also served as a member of the Conference on Statistical Practice Steering Committee.

I conduct research in applied statistics through my many collaborations. I have taught graduate-level statistical collaboration courses to educate the next generation of applied statisticians. I have also taught statistical computing, experimental design, quantitative reasoning, and statistical methods.

I am the owner of Sharp Analytics LLC, a statistical consulting entity.
