About me

I grew up in Kyiv (Ukraine). Already in primary school I became keen on mathematics and as a teenager I entered the mathematical class in the Kyiv-Pechersk lyceum 171 ``Leader'', which at that time was one of the best schools with mathematical specialization in Ukraine. As a high school student I won National Ukrainian Mathematical Olympiad and in 2008 I was a member of the Ukrainian team for the 49-th International Mathematical Olympiad, where I was awarded a bronze medal.

I got my bachelor degree with honors in 2012 at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics) under the supervision of Prof. Sergiy Kolyada with my main specialization on topological dynamical systems.

In 2014 I completed my Master degree at the University of Bonn (supported by Bonn International Graduate School of Mathematics) focusing on algebraic topology under the supervision of Prof. Wolfgang Lueck.

From 2014 to 2018 I have worked under the supervision of Prof. Lueck on my PhD thesis as a part of IMPRS program at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn. I defended my thesis in October 2018.

Afterwards I was a post-doctoral fellow in the Topology Group at the University of Bonn till 2020. Since November 2020 I am a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Muenster in the group of Thomas Nikolaus, trying to get used to infinity categories.
