Hello, I am Julia Nooteboom. I am currently 21 years old, and in my first year of studying Product Design at ArtEZ Arnhem.

In 2023, I graduated in Visual Communication at the University of Northampton, and Spatial Design at Cibap Zwolle. During these studies, I focused on graphic design, photography and moving image. After doing an internship at Klaas Kuiken Product Design, I discovered that my passion lies with material, and a hands-on approach to design. 

Attending the anthroposophic Vrijeschool Zutphen for 3 years, I developed a deep interest for human's connection to their environment, my own connection to nature, and spirituality. These are a strong influences to my work.

I am now exploring what design means for me, and this website is a collection of explorations, experiments and projects showcasing this process. Sometimes finished, sometimes in progress.

When I am not at ArtEZ, you can find me visiting museums or galleries, or in the forest, eating fruits. I really enjoy swimming and tending to my plants and aquariums.
