Julia Diniz

I am a PhD candidate in Economics at Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University. The project is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council on a collaborative studentship with the Office of Manpower Economics, and under the supervision of Professor Melanie Jones and Dr Ezgi Kaya.

My interests lie under labour economics and my thesis investigates the gender pay gap and how it changes over time and over the life-cycle among public sector doctors in the United Kingdom. 

I am currently undertaking a 3-month ESRC internship at the Welsh Government where I am taking part in a project which aims to fill the evidence gap on the impact of childcare on children's and parents' outcomes in Wales.
