Concept

Ideation

Exploring human connection and bridging multiple aspects together. Physical and digital, rigid outcomes and viewer choice, fictional and real.

Creating

Physical Art Piece

Mock-ups using Shapr3D and traditional sketches.

Movement utilizes Servo-motors and 3D printed linear actuator.

Fabrication

Hand-drawn and Laser-cut wood panels, Hand painted and stained layers.

Testing Panel Distance

Open box used to test the framing and distance between each panel.

Single Slide

Each slide was drawn in procreate, converted to SVG and lasercut out of Balsa wood.

Testing the layering effect, sizing of the rails.

Movement

Each panel will be attached to the linear gear portion of a rack & pinion style linear actuator. The circular gears are controlled by servo motors which push each panel in and out of 'frame.'

Coding

Utilizing Renpy and Arduino IDE to create a cohesive and easy to navigate experience for viewers.

Writing and Artwork

DIGITAL ARTWORK: Illustrated in procreate, Blending of realism and painterly/sketchy style.

STORYTELLING: Exploring themes of human connection in art, and how others can effect the creative process. The branching narrative allows viewers to find unique paths.
