Júlia Sbroglio Rizzotto

I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of São Paulo (USP), affiliated with NEREUS and a researcher at LEME. I am visiting CLEAN at Bocconi University during the 2026 academic year.

My work lies at the intersection of development, crime, and gender economics, with an empirical focus on intimate partner violence in Brazil using administrative health records and spatial methods.

In 2022, I was a Visiting Scholar at San Diego State University and at the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign. Before joining USP, I spent nearly three years as an economist at Sicredi Asset Management, contributing to inflation and interest-rate forecasts that consistently ranked among the Top 5 in Brazil’s Central Bank (Focus) rankings.
