I am Julia Mazzei and this is my personal website.
I'm currently a postdoctoral researcher in Economics at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna (Pisa, Italy), where I recently defended my PhD thesis.
My research has centered on various aspects of the economics of innovation and innovation policy, with a particular emphasis on intellectual property rights (IPRs) .
The papers I have worked on so far are mainly empirical and oriented towards cutting-edge methodologies and original data sources. In most cases I make patent data speak.
I love traveling, both for work and in my free-time. When I'm tired of traveling (rarely), I enjoy the ease of Pisa and the sea of Livorno.
