I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in Economics at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa, Italy. I received my PhD in Economics from the same institution in 2023.
During my doctoral studies, I was a visiting researcher at the Max Planck Institute (MPI) for Innovation & Competition and at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in 2022. Click here to view my CV.
My research interests center on the economics of innovation and innovation policy, intellectual property (IP) and knowledge transfer, with a focus on how institutions and policies shape technological progress. I am particularly interested in the transfer of knowledge within the field of green technologies and the role of environmental regulations in driving technological change.
My research is mainly empirical and oriented towards cutting-edge methodologies and original data sources. In most cases I make patent data speak.

I love traveling, both for work and in my free-time. When I'm tired of traveling (rarely), I enjoy the ease of Pisa and the sea of Livorno.
