Shakespeare & Language that Altered a World

The Story:

S.L.A.W is a playful and fun history lesson on the life and influence of William Shakespeare and his works. Actors (playing themselves) perform monologues and short scenes from various plays, all strung together with witty commentary and action. Exploring the ways in which we interpret and receive Shakespeare in our modern world and what we can learn from him.

The Costumes:

Since the actors were all playing themselves, I wanted each costume to reflect the personality of each actor whilst connecting the same color and texture themes within this ambiguous-time-period-world. The pieces were a blend of items from actor's wardrobe, thrift-store and my own clothing.
