Emily Jukes grew up in a small, rural town away from anything that didn’t resemble a field or an old building. She didn’t realize that art was an option to pursue until her junior year of high school, when she took her first art class. Much like her constant uncertainty in choosing a career when she was a child, she holds no regard for sticking to one singular medium, moving from pencil to watercolor to paper to digital whenever the mood strikes her, using what feels right to give a voice to her experiences and write her own stories.
