I am a young woman researcher diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2013. I actively collaborate in outreach activities held by local newspapers, TV and radio programs with the objective of giving visibility to women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and the different problems that people with chronic conditions need to overcome in their professional scientific careers. Every year, on international day of women and girls in science, I give talks in local schools and high schools to inspire younger generations to pursue a career in STEM by sharing my personal experience.
