Morning Guest Speakers

Andrew Greer

Singer, songwriter, producer, documentarian, author and television/podcast host

An eight-time Dove Award-nominated singer/songwriter, Andrew Greer is known for his old soul sound and thoughtful conversations. His role as a documentarian brought him to Plains, Georgia, where he is completing a new documentary, Plainspoken, about the life and people of this town.

The native Texan and now-Nashville resident’s folk-gospel discography displays a deep affection for vintage spiritual songs, instinctively captured on his critically acclaimed recordings, Angel Band: The Hymn Sessions and Angel Band: The Christmas Sessions. Showcasing collaborations with some of the top names in Americana, bluegrass and Gospel music, including Sonya Isaacs, Ginny Owens, The McCrary Sisters, Ron Block (of Alison Krauss & Union Station), Nashville legend Phil Madeira, indie singer-songwriter darling Sandra McCracken and iconic Grammy Award-winning recording artist Sandi Patty, The Hymn Sessions and Christmas Sessions recordings reached the Top 10 on Amazon and iTunes Singer-Songwriter charts respectively.

With a love for facilitating conversations that dig deep, Andrew co-created and co-hosts the popular television and streaming series Dinner Conversations with Mark Lowry and Andrew Greer. Since its debut in 2017, the series has featured such guests as Kathie Lee Gifford, Amy Grant, Scott Hamilton, Wynonna Judd and Montell Jordan, among others, garnering more than a million streams to date. Additionally, Greer co-hosts and co-produces Bridges with Patsy Clairmont and Andrew Greer: Spiritual Connections Through Generational Conversations, a podcast inviting listeners of all ages to find common ground embracing a fierce faith in a tough season. The show landed in the Top 15 on Apple’s Religion & Spirituality podcast chart following its debut last year.

Carrying on his affinity for meaningful conversations in a spiritual context, Andrew has authored two books—Transcending Mysteries: Who is God, and What Does He Want From Us? (Thomas Nelson) co-authored with Ginny Owens, and Winds of Heaven, Stuff of Earth: Spiritual Conversations Inspired by the Life and Lyrics of Rich Mullins (Worthy Publishing).

When not on the road, Andrew enjoys his home in Columbia, Tennessee. Read more information about his projects and talent at andrew-greer.com.
