• JT Foundry will continue working on font reproduction to meet more diverse needs in the Traditional Chinese (TC) world
• Any feedback on our font products is highly welcome.

2. Our authorisation

• Copyright
  • Taipei Sans TC is reproduced on the basis of Source Han Sans (developed and launched by Adobe) and redistributed in accordance with the SIL Open Font License, version 1.1 (hereinafter the 'License').
  • Taipei Sans TC is thus a free and open-source font family that adheres to the same License..

• Circumstances of use
  • Taipei Sans TC is applicable to personal and commercial use.
  • Re-editing and redistributing Taipei Sans TC are allowed under the License.
  • Restriction of use is same as regulated in the License.
    • For instance, renaming font products without further edits to claim a personal copyright is strictly restricted.

3. The meaning of 'supporting nearly all Han characters'

• Taipei Sans TC is re-edited based on the KR version of Source Han Sans. Most Han characters in daily life of the Traditional Chinese world have been applied unified print style and contemporary Han character characteristics.
• Taipei Sans TC retains all Han characters (including Chinese simplified Hanzi, Japanese Kanji and Korean Hanja) and Japanese Kana from Source Han Sans. Han characters not originally included in the KR version still retain their characteristics from the CN (SC), JP or TW (TC) version.

4. The font format is TTF

• The format of Taipei Sans TC is TTF which works well in different operating systems and environments.
• As tested, Taipei Sans TC works normally in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud and MacOS.
