MAKE AN IMPACT
Currently, the CROWN Act is legal in 19 states: Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington, as well as the U.S. Virgin Islands.
As a citizen who cares about fair treatment of all employees, you can:
Contact your local and state legislators to propose the CROWN Act to be passed into law (if not already in law)
Contact your federal legislators imploring them to vote for this bill and make the CROWN Act federal - Template for emails
Vote for members of congress who support the CROWN Act
Educate yourself:
Speak with people who’ve experienced hair-based workplace discrimination to gain new perspectives
