If you want a robust, USA-made mounting solution specifically engineered for the heavy-duty frame of a 2009-2018 Ram truck to secure your headlight assembly against winter vibration and road debris, choose JSP Manufacturing Aftermarket Dodge Headlamp; if you need a precision-molded ABS socket adapter designed to restore electrical stability and bulb retention on a Zafira A with an H7 base, choose Orihaven H7.
• JSP Manufacturing: Its biggest strength is being a direct Mopar replacement made in the USA with specific dimensions (5-1/4 inches long) that lock into place for trucks; its trade-off is that it is strictly a mechanical clip, not a lighting source itself.
• Orihaven H7: Its biggest strength is the high-quality ABS construction designed to hold an H7 bulb securely while maintaining the correct electrical connection for the Zafira A; its trade-off is that it is incompatible with any vehicle other than those requiring the 1226084 socket standard.
• The JSP pick is for owners of Ram 1500s through Ram 5500s who need to replace broken bezel clips after a harsh season or off-road impact.
• The Orihaven pick is for Opel Zafira A owners who have lost their original socket holder and need a seamless fit to get their low beams working again.
The JSP Manufacturing Aftermarket Dodge Headlamp Retaining Mounting Clip is a functional component designed for one specific job: holding the headlight housing firmly in place on your Ram truck. This is not a bulb or a lens; it is the hardware that keeps your lights from rattling loose when you drive over potholes or hit deep ruts. The product information confirms it is a direct replacement for Mopar part number 68050777AA, which means it follows the exact factory specifications for how the clip slides up and down on the backside of the light unit.
For anyone driving a 2009-2018 Ram 1500 or the heavier 2010-2018 Ram 2500-5500 models, this part addresses a very common failure point. Over time, the plastic retaining clips can snap due to temperature fluctuations or simple wear and tear. When that happens, the entire headlight assembly can shift, misaligning your beam pattern. This is particularly dangerous during winter driving when visibility is already compromised by snow and darkness. A loose headlight might tilt upward, blinding oncoming traffic, or downward, leaving you unable to see the road edge. These two white clips measure approximately 5-1/4 inches in overall length and 1-1/8 inches in width, ensuring they fill the exact space intended by the manufacturer.
This product is ideal for the DIY mechanic who needs a reliable, no-nonsense fix. Since it is made in the USA, there is a tangible assurance of material consistency compared to generic imports. It comes as a pair, so you do not have to worry about mismatching a new clip with an old, worn one. You should skip this item if you are looking for a replacement bulb, a lens cover, or if you own a vehicle outside the specified Ram model years. It is purely a structural piece of hardware meant to restore the integrity of the existing headlight assembly.

The Orihaven H7 Headlight Bulb Socket Holder serves a different but equally critical function within the lighting system. Instead of holding the whole lamp to the car body, this component holds the actual light bulb inside the housing. Designed for the Zafira A, this adapter replaces the OEM number 1226084 and matches the 9118046 standard. The core of this part is its construction from quality ABS material, which provides the rigidity needed to keep the electrical contacts stable. If the socket becomes brittle or cracked, the bulb will flicker, fail to turn on, or draw inconsistent power, leading to unpredictable lighting performance.
Winter driving conditions can be brutal on these small plastic components. Moisture, road salt, and extreme cold can degrade cheap plastics quickly, causing them to crack or lose their grip on the bulb base. The Orihaven unit is engineered to integrate smoothly into the existing headlight housing, ensuring that the electrical connection remains solid even when the vehicle vibrates over icy roads. It is a "G bulb holder" style retainer, meaning it fits the specific geometry of the H7 bulb used in this vehicle class. The description highlights that it requires no complicated tools for installation, allowing for a quick restoration of lighting function without removing the entire headlight assembly.
This product is strictly for owners of the Opel Zafira A who need to replace a broken socket. It is not a universal part; it is tailored specifically for vehicles requiring the G bulb holder configuration. If you have a vehicle that uses a different bulb type or socket design, this part will not fit. It is also not suitable for those looking to upgrade their bulb wattage or change the color temperature; it is simply the mechanical interface that allows your current bulb to function correctly. If your headlights are flickering or the bulb won't stay seated, this is likely the part you need to address the root cause.
• Best for structural headlight security on large trucks → JSP Manufacturing Aftermarket Dodge Headlamp, because it replaces the main retaining clip for the entire assembly.
• Best for restoring electrical contact on European sedans → Orihaven H7, because it is a dedicated socket holder for the H7 bulb base.
• Best for durability in freezing climates → Both offer robust solutions, but JSP offers a USA-made metal/plastic hybrid clip for heavy trucks, while Orihaven uses high-grade ABS for precise socket retention.
• Best for direct factory replacement → JSP replaces Mopar 68050777AA exactly, while Orihaven replaces OE numbers 1226084 and 9118046.
• Best for ease of installation → Both are designed for direct replacement without modification, though JSP involves handling the rear of the headlight unit, while Orihaven focuses on the internal socket area.
• Best for quantity value → JSP comes with two clips, covering both sides of the vehicle, whereas Orihaven is typically sold as a single unit per order.
• Best for heavy-duty applications → JSP is built for the Ram 1500 through 5500 series, which endure more stress than passenger cars.
• Best for specific fitment precision → Orihaven is engineered for the Zafira A's unique G bulb holder requirements, ensuring a seamless fit where generic parts often fail.
I would buy the JSP Manufacturing Aftermarket Dodge Headlamp if I were driving a Ram truck, primarily because the cost of a misaligned headlight in winter conditions is too high to risk with a cheap clip. The fact that it is made in the USA and measures precisely to the factory spec gives me confidence that my lights will stay pointed correctly when the road gets rough. Conversely, I would choose the Orihaven H7 only if I owned a Zafira A and needed to fix a flickering bulb socket; the ABS material and direct OE compatibility make it the clear choice for that specific application. Ultimately, the right choice depends entirely on whether you are securing the housing or securing the bulb itself.
No, the JSP Manufacturing clips are specifically compatible with 2009-2018 Ram 1500s and 2010-2018 Ram 2500-5500 models; they do not fit earlier or later generations.
Yes, the Orihaven H7 is engineered as a direct replacement for the 1226084 and 9118046 sockets used in the Zafira A, requiring no modification to install.
No, the JSP part is a retaining mounting clip for the headlight bezel, not a socket holder; it cannot be used to secure the light bulb itself.
If your headlight housing shifts when you push on it, or if your beam pattern changes direction while driving, the retaining clips like the JSP set may have failed.
