Supervision:
I am happy to supervise undergraduate honours or master's degree research in any area of Canadian or American politics, or research on elections, public opinion, voting, political psychology or political parties, regardless of geographic focus.Â
I have supervised theses or major research papers on a wide range of topics, including: the politics of electoral reform; the effect of economic perceptions on immigration attitudes; migration status and informal transnational political conversation; ethnicity and electoral politics in Ghana; theories of institutional change in comparative politics; economic inequality and turnout in Canada; the effects of the built environment on social capital and political participation; and citizens' assemblies and democratic theory.
