Anti-Racism Pledge

I pledge to support the mission of the JSIS Parent Race & Equity Task Force - to challenge, interrupt, and dismantle racism, bias, and white supremacy; promote racial equity; and ensure that JSIS provides a safe and nurturing space for all students, parents, staff, and other members of the school community - and will participate in the following activities to promote anti-racism at JSIS:

• Learn about anti-Black Racism in our communities (see resource list)

• Create and seize opportunities to talk about race and racism with my children

• I identify as BIPOC: Recognize racism as trauma and practice self-care

• Invite one JSIS family to join me at the monthly R&E Task Force meetings

• Participate in an affinity group/caucus at JSIS (TBA)

• Share this pledge with other JSIS families
