ART MAKING TIPS & DEMONSTRATIONS

Think about the 7 Elements of Art shown here.

LINE and SHAPE and COLOR are basic building blocks for creating, and even though they are relatively easy to use, you can get a LOT out of them!

Think about the

7 Principles of Design.

Pick just ONE of these to start- as a guide to help you decide what to do- and your work will be more effective, completed more quickly, and more satisfying.

Think about your COLOR scheme, or PLAN.

It's wise to pick two or three colors to guide your design. You can later add more as you see fit, but selective color choices will help you achieve the impact, mood, feeling, etc. that you desire. Notice how much it changes the Andy Warhol style face in this example!
