Joan Guzman
Ms. Guzman has been an early elementary music educator for the past 13 years in New York City as well as southern Wisconsin. She received her BM in vocal performance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, as well as studied opera through La Musica Lyrica /Centro Studi Italiani program in Urbania, Italy. She specializes in opera and musical theater vocal styles. Ms. Guzman received her MA degree in music education from the Aaron Copeland School of Music-Queens College, NY. She uses the Kodály approach to music education, having received her Level III Kodály certification from New York University.
