My academic journey began at the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico, Guayama Campus, where I immersed myself in the world of K-12 Physical Education and Sports Technology. Here, I honed my skills and passion for teaching, embracing every opportunity to develop my leadership.
With a teacher’s license granted by the Puerto Rico Department of Education, I stepped into the realm of shaping futures. Every day, I embraced the challenges and joys of teaching, instilling in my students the same values that guided my own path – leadership, creativity, and a commitment to excellence. My classroom became a sanctuary where curiosity thrived, and knowledge was the key to unlocking endless possibilities. However, my thirst for learning remained unquenched.
I have a Master’s Degree in Information Sciences at the Faculty of Communication and Information of the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus with emphasis on Information Literacy Competencies, Legislative and Governmental Information Management.
Here, I delve into the intricate world of information, embracing the fusion of technology and education. This pursuit reflects my belief in the power of innovation and adaptability, essential qualities in a rapidly changing global landscape and the digital government. Now, I work as Head Librarian of Legal Reference and Public Service at the Monsignor Fremiot Torres Oliver Law Library of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, located in the School of Law on the Ponce campus.
At the moment, I am enrolled on the Doctor of Philosophy in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Teaching with emphasis is in Higher Education at the Caribbean University of Puerto Rico, Bayamon Campus. I am currently taking courses related to Educational Policy and Public Policy Development, and Statistic Research for Curriculum innovation and Development. My main emphasis for investigation is the integration of the Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education on the Legal Education Curricular programs in Puerto Rico.
