I did my graduation in Chemical Engineering from University College of Science, Technology and Agricalture, University of Calcutta. After my graduation I spent a few years in different industries. Now I am pursuing a PhD, studying the dynamics of mucus films and the transport of aerosols in pulmonary airways.

I am presently working on polymers in turbulent flows. My major interests are in the fields of computational fluid dynamics, process simulation and engineering, mathematical Modeling, and process control and automation. I also have a strong affinity towards scientific programming and am looking forward to a strong research oriented career where I get the opportunity to solve real world problems. Apart from being a Chemical Engineer, I am also an All India Radio graded Carnatic Flautist. I have performed in several cities across India, been part of TV programs and reality shows as well. Recently, I also got the opportunity to represent India in the G20 summit as a classical flautist.

I have done my M.Tech in Chemical engineering from IIT Ropar and I did my B.Tech in Computer Science and engineering from IIIT Delhi . My diversified background helps me to gain a new perspective on problems which I in turn use to gain a better and more unique understanding of them and hence, solve them more effectively. I am currently working on elastic turbulence.

I have completed a BTech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Guwahati and a research internship at IISc Bengaluru. My prior work has been on stability analysis of liquid crystal films and on drop impact printing. My current interest is in turbulent flows involving particles and polymers. Beyond academia, I love exploring new places and enjoy observing and capturing glimpses of the world.

My research focuses on understanding the dynamics of deformable particles in turbulent flows, with applications to natural phenomena such as bioluminescence in marine ecosystems. I also work on the rheology and dynamics of complex fluids (e.g., polymer solutions, colloidal suspensions etc.) using molecular dynamics (MD) and Brownian dynamics (BD) simulations. My work examines flow-induced effects on macromolecules, including conformational changes, structural rearrangements, and emergent non-Newtonian behavior under shear, extensional or mixed flows.

I am an applied mathematician and have completed my Ph.D. from the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. My Ph.D. research included Computational Fluid Dynamics with special focus on Hydrodynamic Stability Analysis. I have a strong interest in expanding my research area of hydrodynamic stability, especially to absolute/convective instability, transition to turbulence and direct numerical simulation. I am currently working on inverse problems in gas-solid catalytic reactors.

I hold a PhD in Chemical engineering from IIT Kanpur, India, where I studied polymeric shear-flow instabilities. I am currently working on the physics of elastic turbulence in non-uniform polymer solutions. Broadly, I am interested in any phenomenon involving fluid flow. Outside of research, I enjoy reading, music, movies, and spending weekends watching football matches.
