JROTC Battle Buddy ("we," "us," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you use it.

1. Information We Collect

This app does not collect or store your personal data on any server. All data you enter — including goals, fitness scores, uniform photos, equipment records, awards, community service hours, inspection results, and class schedules — is stored locally on your device only. The app retrieves official regulation and curriculum documents from a linked Google Drive on demand; these documents are displayed within the app but are not stored on your device unless you explicitly save them for offline use.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely within the app on your device to display your career tracking, awards, schedules, fitness and inspection data. Your data never leaves your device.

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored entirely on your device using your device's local storage. It is not transmitted to or stored on any external server. You are solely responsible for the security of your device and the data stored on it. Clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app will permanently delete all stored data.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. You are solely responsible for any information you choose to share with others through or outside of this app. Data may be disclosed if required by law.

5. Device Features — Camera & Photo Library

JROTC Battle Buddy may request access to your device's camera and photo library so you can add photos to your records.

• Camera: The app uses the camera so you can capture photos for uniform inspections, cadet profiles, awards, and unit files. For example, you can photograph your uniform before an inspection and attach that photo to your inspection log.

• Photo Library: The app accesses your photo library so you can select existing photos to attach to uniform inspections, cadet profiles, awards, and unit files. For example, you can select a saved photo of an award ceremony to add it to a cadet's awards record.

• Storage: All photos are saved only on your device. They are never uploaded to any server. You may delete your photos at any time within the app.

6. Your Rights & Responsibilities

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time directly within the app. You are solely responsible for managing your data, maintaining the accuracy of your records, and protecting your account credentials.

7. Children's Privacy

If you are under 18, you must use this app with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. It is your responsibility to obtain such consent before using the app. No personal data is collected from any user, including minors.

8. User Responsibility & Data Loss

You are solely responsible for all data you enter, upload, or store in this app. Because all data is stored locally on your device, it will be permanently lost if you clear your browser data, uninstall the app, or switch devices. The app provider is not responsible for any data loss. You are strongly encouraged to use the export features to keep backup copies of any important information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy within the app. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically.

The app's original design, code, and content are owned by the app provider and are protected by intellectual property laws. This app displays or references third-party content, including official regulations, curriculum publications, rank insignia, and other reference materials obtained from online sources. Third-Party Content is provided for educational and reference purposes only, and all related rights, trademarks, and copyrights remain with their respective owners. Its inclusion does not imply affiliation with or endorsement by the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Cadet Command, the Department of Defense, or any other rights holder.

6. Limitation of Liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data or service interruptions.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time, with or without cause. You may stop using the app at any time.
