The computer animation industry have exploded after the last 10 years from the original days of Toy Story to the many new titles coming out now. If you are interested in art, graphics or animation then this is the place for you to try and learn some amazing new skills.

Difficulty Level: Medium to Extremely Hard

The video below is part of a full series on how to use the free 3D software called Blender.

3D Modelling

A 3D Modeller is an artist who creates models of animals, people, and everything in a piece of 3D software such as blender. Blender is a free piece of software that can be used to make impressive animations of professional quality. A 3D Modelling may make characters for computer games as well as for films. Whilst there is a slight difference between the two most of the techniques are the same and it is nearly always best to learn modelling for animation first.

3D Animation

A 3D animator is more in charge of creating the animation of the scene and models, often, a modeller can also be an animator, but this is not always the case especially in larger companies. Their job could be to animate a character running around the screen or to make the program produces smoke or fire in a film.
