79th PICPA Annual National Convention 

Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC) College of Business Education - Accountancy Program faculty and staff made a remarkable contribution to the 79th Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Annual National Convention held from November 20–23, 2024, at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City. The convention, unified under the theme “Values Above All,” brought together industry professionals to engage in discussions promoting ethical leadership, sustainability, and innovation within the accountancy profession.

The distinguished representatives from RMMC included Dean Marivic B. Peñaflor, CPA, PhD, Finance Head Norma Salise, CPA, PhD, and esteemed faculty members: Krizza Farofaldane-Catigbe, CPA, Cyra Mae Lanestosa, CPA, Jaypee D. Bigno, CPA, Kerby P. Salise, CPA, MBM, and Julie Ann Villaceran, CPA. These individuals were actively involved in various aspects of the convention, participating in a wide range of workshops, panel discussions, and networking activities.

Topics such as Workplace Wellness, Practical Ethics and Leadership Integrity, and Climate Change Risks and Opportunities provided attendees with valuable insights on how to navigate the evolving landscape of the profession.
