Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC) GSC Local Chapter proudly participated in the 5th Regional Mid-Year Convention (RMYC) of the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (NFJPIA) Region 12. This year’s convention, held under the theme “Pixiema: Luminous Revelry of Somnia and Ingenium Soiree,” featured an array of academic and non-academic competitions that showcased the remarkable talent and creativity of accountancy students across the region.
The academic league, titled Somnia: Mystical Mystery of Magic, focused on the intellectual acumen of participants through a series of rigorous contests, including the Regional FAR Cup (Fairy Dust Foundations), Regional AFAR Cup (Pixie Ledgers Chronicles), Regional MAS Cup (Tinker’s Managers Clash), Regional Tax Cup (Golden Glow Tax Quest), and Regional RFBT Cup (Regional Scrolls of Hollow’s Codex). Each competition tested the knowledge and skills of participants in various accounting disciplines, with RMMC GSC’s representatives carefully selected and prepared under the guidance of Vice President for Academics, Sally Delos Reyes.
Meanwhile, the non-academic league, known as Ingenium: Wonder’s Dust and Adventure, celebrated creativity, artistry, and sportsmanship through four distinct segments. The Valley of Blooming Creativity highlighted talents in picture essay writing, digital slogan making, creative photography, Facebook frame design, and the production of Proud R12 JPIAn creative videos. The Valley’s Literature Grove featured competitions in spoken word poetry, storytelling, and impromptu speaking. The E-Valley Arena brought together esports enthusiasts in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Valorant. Finally, the Valley Festival of Arts served as a platform for socio-cultural events, including the Ultimate Dance Showdown, NFJPiyesta ng Talento at Musikahan (Talent Show), and the JPIA Next Top Model competition.
With a total of 49 participants, RMMC GSC’s delegation was led by Vice Presidents Prencess Sophia Gumban (Non-Academics – Sports) and Bianca Marie Lorente (Non-Academics – Socio-Cultural). Each delegate brought passion, determination, and creativity to their respective events, embodying the spirit of unity and excellence that the JPIA of RMMC GSC is known for.
The 5th Regional Mid-Year Convention was more than just a competition—it was a celebration of camaraderie, innovation, and the unwavering commitment of JPIAns to their craft. Through their exceptional performances and dedication, the RMMC GSC Local Chapter made their mark in the luminous revelry of Pixiema and set a high standard for future conventions.
