Joyxtra is a non-profit organization founded and run by secondary school students. We are dedicated to enhancing the mental and physical well-being of primary school students in Hong Kong by providing educational health programs at community centers.
We believe that enhancing the mental and physical well-being of primary school students is crucial for their development and future success. By providing educational programs on health at community centers, we foster healthy habits in children from an early age, equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed choices for their well-being. Our mission is not only to educate children, but also promote a supportive community environment where they can thrive. Ultimately, we are dedicated to building a healthier, happier future for the next generation in Hong Kong.
According to the health triangle framework, total well-being depends on balancing three equal parts: physical health, mental health, and social health. We hope to promote all three aspects of health through our diverse activities.
Physical health enables our daily functioning and resilience. It reduces the risk of being diagnosed with chronic diseases, enhancing longevity and overall quality of life.
Mental health shapes how we think, feel, and act every day, influencing decision-making, relationships, and physical well being.
Social health allows us to adapt to social situations and build connections. It provides a strong support system when needed.
