THE MISCHIFES

Q: It seemed that my heart was healed by the appearance of the two friendly people throughout the whole time. During filming, Yuri said that it was like she was visiting an amusement park.
YURI: When you ride roller coasters or rides, you feel excited. I guess that's why I said that without realizing it.
HYEWON: When I heard that I was going to shoot a pictorial with Yuri, I called her first and said, "We're going to film together. It's more fun than I expected.
Q: You met through an audition program for the first time three years ago, right? What was your first impression of each other?
YURI: I remember seeing Hyewon unnie even among many people. I said to the people I was with, "Isn't that person sitting there really pretty?"
HYEWON: I thought Yuri would be cute and quiet, but she wasn't. Cute things are cuter now than first impressions!
Q: I wonder if there's a starting point for them to think that this relationship will last a long time and feel that they're open-minded
HYEWON: When I did my overseas schedules, there were many times when Yuri and my airplane seats were either side by side or close to each other. From then on, we talked a lot and became close naturally.
YURI: That's right, we're really close without any special incidents.
Q: Both of them recently opened their personal SNS. How do you want to use it?
HYEWON: Of course, I have a strong desire to communicate. In the past, I used to focus on stage costumes on SNS, but now I want to share my daily life and my usual appearance a lot.
YURI: It's the same for me. The main purpose is to exchange greetings with the fans.
Q: Hyewon met fans by releasing her photo book <Beauty Cut>, and Yuri participated in the drama <Monthly Magazine Home> OST 'Story of Us'. If we exchange stories about our recent activities
HYEWON: We share feedback with each other even if we post new posts on Instagram. "This picture is cute." "I think this came out well." I remember contacting Yuri during my first solo fan meeting. Yuri asked me to write a comment in the photo book and give it to her, so I didn't forget to bring it today.
YURI: The photos that were released were so pretty that I wanted to have a special version with her comment. Unnie also heard the OST that I sang and said that the song was really good and that she would add it to her playlist right away.
Q: Hyewon is also known for taking good pictures. Yuri is the opposite
YURI: So, if unnie tells me that I took this picture well, I feel like I have grown up wonderfully (laughs). I'm not good at taking selfies, but I also don't like taking pictures of myself, so many of my photos were taken by Hyewon unnie.
Q: Even though Yuri's individual filming was over, she didn't even change clothes and waited for Hyewon to come out (laughs). Do you two feel similar to each other? Could she have been attracted to her because she was rather different?
HYEWON: We became close because we were similar. I don't know which one fits particularly well, but it's really fun to be together. The gag code seems to fit well, as there is a high probability of laughter when we share a video that other people would say is funny.
YURI: After watching the drama <Sweet Secret of a Salesman Kantaro>, I thought unnie would like it, so I told her to watch it and she really liked it. You get happy when you see something fun. I want to share that feeling, so I recommend good works.
Q: Hyewon grew up in Yangsan, North Gyeongsang Province, and Yuri grew up in Busan. I wonder if there's a connection that comes from the background of their growth
HYEWON: When talking about local restaurants (laughs)? Whenever Yuri goes down to Busan, I feel proud whenever I recommend a restaurant.
YURI: If I'm going near Gwangalli tomorrow, I'll make sure to ask her where is the best place to go. Unnie's list of good restaurants rarely fails.
Q: If two people who watched each other's growth have a reversal charm that they know about each other
HYEWON: Yuri is funny when joking around, but she also writes songs and sings really well. She is also good at playing the piano. When she played her own song, I said "Oh! Yuri was originally a kid like this," I was surprised.
YURI: She's less quiet now, but many people thought she would be cold because unnie is a reticent person. It's not like that at all. She's a very sweet person!
Q: What are your interests these days? What are you spending your time on?
YURI: I recently just moved in and I am having fun decorating my house little by little. If I live alone, I really want to hang blue curtains. I have my own dream. It's fun to make it happen one by one.
HYEWON: No matter how much I think about it, I haven't started anything new recently. I've been playing games.
Q: As an artist, what do you think is something that you consider to be your strengths or weapons?
YURI: There's no fear of trying new things and challenging them. I think it works well for me as an artist. I recently challenged myself to act. I thought it would be good to experience various things.
HYEWON: Strong mentality! Even if you go through a hard time, you can do what you're given and what you're supposed to do without being tied to one incident.
Q: Do you compliment each other well? The closer you are, the more embarrassing it is to compliment you
YURI: I'm embarrassed, but I say what I have to say. There was a performance that I was really worried about. After finishing it, I got a call from my sister saying, "Yuri, you did a great job". But I was still disappointed, so she said, "Hey, how much are you trying to do better?" Those words unexpectedly gave me great comfort.
HYEWON: She said she was so touched and jokingly moved on, but I didn't know she remembered this much. While monitoring, when I don't like how I look, Yuri passes by and says, "No, it's pretty!" and I feel better.
Q: I guess they both do better the more they get compliments.
YURI: Totally! Because I push myself too hard. If people around me do that, I tend to focus too much on what I lack. People around me should say a good job to be confident, but I'm not proud of myself at all times!
HYEWON: Right. Yuri is really like that. I get more energy when I get compliments, too.
Q: If you have a role model for a relationship or friendship that you feel is ideal
HYEWON: Hyeri and Rosé sunbaenim! They look really close and I like how they actively support each other.
YURI: For me, Yoo In-na and IU sunbaenim. Even in the eyes of a third party, you can feel how close the two are and how comfortable and enjoyable they are when they are together, which makes the viewer feel better. I always thought it was an ideal relationship.
Q: Do you agree that maintaining a relationship takes effort?
YURI: The people around me up until now are the people I want to keep meeting in the future. That's why I am doing my best to reply to Kakao Talk.
HYEWON: I want to take care of people who show affection and care about me. I'm not the type to contact you first, but the other person will feel it.
Q: If so, what would you like to try for the relationship between the two of you?
YURI: Don't you think we can just live like now? One person said, "Now this kind of prank is uncomfortable. This is a bit childish, so let's not do this" Just don't say the same thing!
HYEWON: They said let's not do this (laughs). That's right, as long as one person doesn't suddenly grow up, I think we can live like we are now.
