Jo Yuri is a former member and main vocalist of the girl group IZ*ONE which was formed through a Mnet survival show, Produce 48. Yuri ranked 3rd in the final episode, making her a member of IZ*ONE. The group was active for 2.5 years before disbanding on April 29, 2021 after their contract has expired. Jo Yuri re-debuted as a soloist last October 7, 2021, with a single album Glassy.
CAREER TIMELINE
In 2017, before participating in Produce 48, Jo Yuri first joined Idol School, a reality girl group survival show on Mnet, however, she was eliminated on the final episode with a final rank of 15.
In 2018, she joined Produce 48 as a trainee under Stone Music Entertainment and made it to the final lineup with a rank of 3.
Jo Yuri finally debuted as a member of IZ*ONE in South Korea on October 29, 2018, with their debut album COLOR*IZ and title track 'La Vie En Rose.'
On February 09, 2019, IZ*ONE released their Japanese debut with 'Sukito Iwasetai.'
Jo Yuri participated in composing a b-side for IZ*ONE's first full album BLOOM*IZ, which is titled 'Someday.'
In May 2020, Jo Yuri participated in King Of Masked Singer (KOMS) and became the youngest contestant to reach the 3rd round.
On September 22, 2020, she released an OST titled 'My Love' for the Korean drama 'Do You Like Brahams.'
She continued her activities with IZ*ONE for 2.5 years with 4 Korean comebacks and 3 Japanese comebacks.
IZ*ONE disbanded on April 29, 2021, following the duration of their contract.
After IZ*ONE's dissolution, Jo Yuri continued her activities with CJ ENM after moving to its new label WakeOne Entertainment. On June 24, 2021, Jo Yuri had her first activity post-disbandment by releasing a new OST titled 'Story of Us' for the Korean drama 'Monthly Magazine Home.'
On September 23, 2021, Jo Yuri released a single titled 'Autumn Memories' which featured Lee Seok Hoon.
Finally, on October 07, 2021, Jo Yuri debuted as a soloist with her first single album GLASSY.
