Joystick Privacy Policy
Joystick values and respects the privacy of all users that access Joystick products and services. The Joystick privacy policy describes the anonymous data and personal information Joystick collects on users that access any Joystick products and services, how Joystick uses, stores, and shares this anonymous data and personal information, and how the user can contact Joystick to access and request deletion of their personal information which is stored by Joystick.
ANONYMOUS DATA COLLECTION
Joystick analytics collects and stores anonymous data on all users that access any Joystick product or service. The anonymous data collected includes the user's IP address, country, city, browser type, version, and language, device type and operating system, timestamp, and referring web page or other entry point. Joystick analytics assigns a unique visitor ID which tracks the user's activity and interactions, the session duration, and total visits the user has made. Joystick analytics also collects user engagement data which includes keywords used for searching, internal entry and exit web pages or points, and outlinks. Joystick server logs collect anonymous data and track any user that accesses the Joystick server regardless of anti-tracking software, Do Not Track (DNT) HTTP headers, or other user attempts to circumvent tracking. The anonymous data collected by Joystick does not contain any personally identifiable information. Joystick stores all anonymous data indefinitely.
PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTION
In order to access any Joystick product or service or play any Joystick game a Google Play account is required for registration, verification, and secure login. When a user registers to play any Joystick game, the user utilizes their Google Play account to register a player account for that particular Joystick game. Joystick does not store any of this personal information and all personal information and login credentials are done through the third party Google Play.
When a user signs up to receive a newsletter the only personal information collected is the email address where the user would like to receive the newsletter. When a user unsubscribes from a newsletter the email address used is permanently deleted and not retained by Joystick.
When a user chooses to give feedback, has requested help, or contacts Joystick for any other reason the user must make this correspondence through email to the appropriate Joystick email address, and as a result the user's email address and other information contained within the email correspondence is shared with Joystick. This correspondence and all the information it contains is permanently collected and stored by Joystick for future reference, research, and training purposes.
All personal information which is stored by Joystick is stored indefinitely or until a user has requested their personal information be deleted. However, even after a deletion request has been made by the user some user personal information may be retained for such additional time for legal, regulatory, or litigation purposes, as may be required under applicable laws and regulations.
DATA DISSEMINATION
The anonymous data collected by Joystick is used for statistical analysis and to help improve Joystick products and services and make them more efficient and useful. The anonymous data collected by Joystick is also used for marketing, advertising, and research purposes in order to help deliver more relevant advertisements and customized content, and to make accurate assessments. Anonymous data collected by Joystick is sometimes shared in aggregate or statistical form with third parties for marketing, advertising, or research purposes. Joystick never shares user IP addresses with any third party, except pursuant to any applicable local, state, federal, or country laws, a subpoena, or by order of any court or government or regulatory agency.
Joystick will never share, sell, rent, disclose, release, disseminate, or transfer user personal information with a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration. CHILDERN'S PERSONAL DATA
Joystick respects and fully supports the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA). Joystick products and services are not directed towards anyone under 13 years of age and are not designed to specifically target anyone under 13 years of age. Joystick does not intentionally collect or use any personal information from anyone under 13 years of age, nor does Joystick have any actual knowledge that personal information is being collected from anyone under 13 years of age. No personal information should be submitted to any Joystick product or service by anyone under 13 years of age.
DATA AND INFORMAITON SECURITY
To prevent unauthorized access and ensure the appropriate use of user personal information and other data, and to help protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of user personal information and other data under Joystick's control, Joystick has implemented reasonable physical, electronic, and managerial protocols to safeguard and secure user personal information and other data. Although Joystick provides a secure encrypted connection for logging in to and accessing Joystick products and services, the user is solely responsible for creating and maintaining a complex username and password, and also protecting their username and password from any unauthorized access which could be gained through the user's computer, tablet, smartphone, smartwatch, virtual assistant, flash drive, hard drive, cloud storage, password manager, or other mechanisms, devices, audio recordings, hard copies, text messages, emails, or other records.
