Over a year and a half ago my world turned upside down. The man I loved and had committed to spending my life with, until death do us part, left me for another woman. Completely heartbroken, I turned to God's word for comfort and understanding instead of relinquishing all of my heartache and pain to be satisfied by things of this world.
During that time, I would write down scripture verses that spoke to me. I have taken those verses of scripture and organized them in a way that, maybe, will help someone else who is going through a hard time.
When the rihteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is near to the broken hearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
-Psalm 34: 17-18
Anxiety weighs down the human heart.
-Proverbs12:25a
Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
-1Peter 5:7
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
-1Thessalonians 5:16-18
"...Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry , for anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.
-James 1:19-20
...but we also rejoice in our sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character, and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit whom He has given us.
-Romans 5:3-5
Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.
-Psalm 51:10
The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To Him be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
-2 Timothy 4:18
Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hops, always perseveres.
