Meet Deana
Hi, I'm Deana.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from the University of Nevada, Reno, and have spent more than 12 years teaching preschool-aged children in South Africa.
Throughout my career I've seen how music helps children build confidence, communication, creativity, coordination, and a lifelong love of learning.
Joyful Beginnings was created to bring engaging, developmentally appropriate music enrichment to preschools, homeschool communities, and families throughout North San Diego County.
I believe every child is musical. When children are encouraged to explore music in a joyful, supportive environment, they develop confidence that extends far beyond the classroom.

40 Minute group lesson (minimum 4 children)ย
Private funds: $25/class | $75/month for 5 months | $350/semester (15 classes)
Vendor funds: $35/class | $105/month for 5 months | $500/semester (15 classes)

Whether your child needs extra academic support, enrichment, or help building confidence, I provide patient, individualized instruction tailored to each student's needs.
Available for in-home tutoring throughout North San Diego County
With a degree in Music Education, over 12 years of teaching experience, and a background as a mom of two wonderful boys, I love helping children build confidence, develop their skills, and succeed across a variety of subjects.
