JOY IN THE SUMMER (WORK-IN-PROGRESS)
Original Music by Joyce Lao
Choreography and Improv by Joyce Lao and Summer Huang
The work delves into the beautiful paradox of a deep bond that arises quickly and ends too soon, leaving a lasting impact on both lives. It highlights the way friendships, even fleeting ones, can act as both a catalyst for joy and a mirror reflecting personal struggles.
This work was created as a part of the NYU Steinnhardt Open Structures course under Douglas Dunn.

What if we all look the same? what if our appearance will not allow others to judge or give stereotypes of who we are?
This performing art piece will challenge the audience to experience first hand how concepts, feelings and thoughts may remain or change on diversity and stereotypes. The audience is encouraged to give their feedback after the show online or live.
