My name is Amanda and I went to culinary school shortly after I graduated high school. Originally from Boston MA, my adoptive family (with Sicilian and Irish roots) along with many friends have opened up a wide array of fresh authentic cuisine.
Boston is a melting pot of different nationalities; I was introduced to Greek, Italian, and Dominican food especially.
My family and I decided to move down to FL in 2015. We then moved to Lincolton NC (where we reside) in 2021 and decided to open up a food truck.
The name "Journey Pizza" came to us because life is a journey. Our truck serves a Sicilian style pizza with homemade San Marzano tomato sauce and pizza dough with the freshest toppings possible.
I believe in simplicity. You can taste the difference because our food is made with simple ingedients and a little bit of love.
The bible talks about "2 fish and 5 loaves" and how that was multiplied to feed 5 thousand men plus women and children. That story has always made a powerful impression on me.
Growing up has brought many challenges and losses but finding my way back to food has always brought so much joy and creativity.
This a family owned and operated business. I would like to say thank you to my husband Henry and two kids Elijah and Olivia. It makes working in the kitchen and serving food all the much better when you have the support of family and the one who saved my life....Jesus Christ. -Prov 4:26
