COVID Policies & Parking

Health and Safety Protocols 

Following trends in higher education and health care across the country, BOLLI will be mask-optional in Spring 2024. Under this policy, no meetings or classes will require everyone to mask, though individuals are encouraged to adopt the masking protocol with which they are personally most comfortable.

In-person courses will either be held in the Gathering Space (a 58’ x 32’ room) with a max of 24 participants or in a BOLLI classroom (dimensions vary slightly, classrooms are 15-17’ x 25-28’) with a max of 15 participants. Standing microphones will be arrayed on desks to allow for no-touch access to voice amplification. Study Group Leaders will also be amplified.

Your health and safety is our top priority. The HVAC system has been upgraded and calibrated to provide at least 30% outside fresh air at all times, and HEPA filtration meets and exceeds current standards (i.e. MERV 13 Filters). In order to provide an extra measure of security, you will also find mobile HEPA filtration systems arrayed around the Gathering Space perimeter.

All members of the Brandeis community — faculty, staff, and students — are strongly encouraged to be up to date with vaccinations for COVID-19 with WHO- or FDA-authorized or approved vaccines, or have a documented and approved medical or religious exemption on file. "Up to date" means that an individual has received all recommended doses of vaccines and boosters when eligible.

Parking at BOLLI

Parking is generally available along Turner Street in close proximity to the 60 Turner Street building, and across the street from 60 Turner Street in the large parking lot. Note that this large parking lot is not owned by Brandeis. While no difficulties have been reported by BOLLI members to date, Brandeis does not assume liability or risk for this parking area. Brandeis parking is also available to BOLLI members in the Brandeis/Roberts Parking Lot, South Street, adjacent to the MBTA commuter rail platform.
