I believe students and teachers should work together to create an optimal learning environment. Encouraging ongoing education through progressivism, recognizing and applying the fluidity of knowledge from many different sources through eclecticism, and personalizing educational experiences as much as reasonably possible through existentialism are, in my view, some of the most effective ways to pass on and receive knowledge.
While all healthcare providers are expected to uphold a shared set of ethical principles, the emphasis placed on each one can vary by individual. I strictly adhere to each principle but I resonate most with autonomy, veracity, beneficence, and accountability. These are the principles I find myself advocating for most often, whether with patients, students, peers, coworkers, or in my own personal and professional development.
