Movement brings joy to life, frees the soul to shine, and keeps the body supple. I have trained in many forms of dance including, Ballet, Jazz and Bellydance; and I continue to dance for the love of movement. I believe, that movement should feel good in the body, and any amount of movement we can add into our life, promotes our good health. Mindful movement, movement that honours our whole self in our current state of body, mind and health, is the best approach in any exercise program.
As a Can Fit Pro Certified Fitness Instructor Specialist (FIS) I have the knowledge base to offer safe and effective movement for many ages and body conditions. I offer the fun of dance fitness (Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Gold Chair and Bellyfit), in cued and easy to follow movement patterns. I offer stretch and flexibility programs (CIRCL Mobility and Yoga) that aims to help individuals release physical restrictions, restore their range of motion, and renew their ability to move better, longer. I offer Targeted Strengthening not just to increase the body’s overall strength and endurance, but also to build the muscles that hold joints in place and assist in proper joint function, relieving pain, increasing bone density and preventing injuries.

Zumba®
Zumba® is a fitness class that fuses Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program. Inspired by Latin dance and music, Zumba uses a variety of styles in its routines, including cumbia, merengue, salsa, reggaeton, mambo, rumba, flamenco, and hip-hop. All levels welcome, no previous dance experience required. Zumba is designed to jump in and dance, I will offer layers of feet, arms, and flair; you choose your comfort level and progress with what feels great. Bring Sneakers.

Zumba Gold®
Zumba Gold® is a modified Zumba® class designed for active older adults or those with physical limitations, offering a lower-intensity workout with modified choreography. It focuses on balance, range of motion, and coordination, while still incorporating elements of cardiovascular fitness, muscular conditioning, and flexibility. Zumba Gold can be offered in the Standing or Chair format. Bring Sneakers.

Yoga
Yoga is a mind-body practice that combines physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation to improve overall health and well-being. Bring a yoga mat and personal props. Variations I teach are :
Vinyasa Yoga - in the context of yoga, we links breath with movement to create flowing sequences of poses. It's often called "Yoga Flow" because of this continuous, interconnected movement.
Yin Yoga - is a slow-paced style of yoga that focuses on holding poses for longer durations. This practice targets deep connective tissues like fascia, ligaments, and joints, aiming to increase flexibility and range of motion. It's a more meditative and passive style, encouraging one to turn inward and focus on breath and physical sensations
Chair Yoga - is a modified form of yoga practiced while seated or using a chair for support. It offers a gentle and accessible way to experience the benefits of yoga, making it suitable for individuals with limited mobility, balance issues, or those seeking a less strenuous practice.
Targeted Strength & Stretch
Targeted Strength and Stretch refers to a training approach that focuses on improving both the strength and flexibility of specific muscle groups. It combines strength training exercises with targeted stretching techniques to enhance overall physical performance, increase range of motion, and reduce the risk of injury. This approach can be applied to various fitness levels, incorporating mat, chair, wall and other supportive props. This practice can be incorporated into different types of workouts to complement overall body strength and stretch. Bring a yoga mat, sneakers optional.

Adding Strength Training to other Formats
Strength training refers to a training approach that focuses on improving strength of specific muscle groups. To enhance overall physical performance, and reduce the risk of injury. This approach can be applied to various fitness levels, incorporating mat, chair, wall and other supportive props. Strength training can be achieved using only calisthenics (exercises that utilize your own body weight as resistance), and/or hand weights and resistance bands if available. Bring a yoga mat, sneakers optional.
CIRCL Mobility™ Yoga
CIRCL Mobility™ Yoga is a fitness program based on functional movement science, designed to improve flexibility, joint strength, and joint stability. These three components make up mobility, how well a body moves. The program is beneficial for a wide range of lifestyles, from people who sit or stand for long spans building up tension with repetitive motions, to athletes who want to improve their training by increasing their joint strength and range of motion. CIRCL Mobility™ aims to help individuals release physical restrictions, restore their range of motion, and renew their ability to move better, longer. We incorporate elements of Yoga with floor and standing work on the mat. From here we will build a flow of constant motion set to a soundtrack of healing tones and sound frequencies to help reduce stress and improve focus; a moving meditation. No prior knowledge of Yoga is required. Flow patterns are built in chunks, repeated several times on each side before incorporating into a grand flowing sequence.

Fierce & Flowing Feminine Fitness (previously known as Bellyfit®)
Fierce & Flowing Feminine Fitness is a holistic fitness program integrating fitness, feminine dance (mostly bellydance), calisthenic strength training, core and pelvic floor toning, and Yoga (Yin Yoga and/or Vinyasa Flow ) into an empowering workout. It emphasizes mindful movement, connecting with one's body, and cultivating feminine strength and energy. Participants can expect a workout that stretches, strengthens, and energizes.
