As an ordained minister of the Gospel, my calling is to share the good news of God's grace through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross and the victory of His resurrection in the life of believers of ALL ages. In the post-Christian American context, it is vital to affirm the logos (the living Word) as the originator of all creation and that the physical world as we know and experience it, is but a hazy reflection of the firmness of the reality of heaven.
My identity is in Christ alone... as a Christian before a "Baptist." However, please know I seek to adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 in issues of doctrine.
Most of the opportunities I am given to preach in a church service setting I have to approach from a topical perspective. But I always desire to exegete the text and let the Word of God speak. As Spurgeon would say: "Let the lion out of the cage."
These few examples are primarily from christian camp settings. Captive audiences can be a challenge when so many fun activities are planned before or after study time. I always seek to use practical and accessible object lessons or stories to tie in with deeper Scriptural truths.
Many of these videos started during "social distancing" but as in-person gatherings with students picked back up, we kept the videos going primarily for the school teachers and support staff.
