Hello,
I am a third-year PhD student studying Pure Mathematics at the University of Manchester under the supervision of Nóra Szakács and Richard Webb.
Some of my research lies in the intersection of inverse semigroup theory and operator algebras, with a touch of automata theory. In this direction, I have analyzed self-similar group(oid)s to understand the ideals of topological groupoid algebras built from them.
I am also interested in the study of finitely presented inverse semigroups via the large-scale geometry of their Schutzenberger graphs (the inverse semigroup analogue of Cayley graphs). This line of study inevitably draws connections between semigroup theory, formal languages, group theory, graph theory, and coarse geometry.
