I am grateful for being a part of P.G.M. I look forward to another great and exciting year working with you and your child to help them succeed in science! I have been teaching at Grove for the past 6 years. I have an undergraduate degree from Valdosta State University (Middle Grades Education: Science and Social Studies), a STEM endorsement from Middle Georgia RESA, and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Thomas University.
I love everything about science, so my purpose here at the Grove is to help students understand the importance of scientific thinking and the nature of science. I love creating enjoyable experiences through lab explorations to help bring the love of science to their eyes. I encourage your child to ask questions and participate in our classroom discussions. I can not help your child be successful unless they ask for help, even when they may feel uncomfortable doing so. Doing this can help me better understand where your child may be weak and/or strong with the content.
I enjoy spending time with my family—my husband Michael of 18 years and our daughter Bra'leigh, who is a 5th grader at Pine Grove Elementary. We have a little busy Pug named Prince Alfred. I also enjoy watching college football (GO DAWGS!) (U.G.A) and professional basketball (TheGolden State Warriors), playing basketball at home and at school, and reading a good book.
