Biography

Joshua Cheng is based in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Starting his music journey after winning the consolation prize in a talent competition organised by his primary school, Joshua has learnt music for 8 years. Since then, Joshua picked up on skills and techniques for many band instruments alongside classical piano. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Contemporary Music in UCSI University, Joshua majors in Contemporary Composition under the guidance of Ms. Lim Hoong Bee.

Joshua has explored performing and writing varying music genres ranging from pop, ballad, jazz, lofi and EDM. Putting together musical elements and rearranging sections to add spice into existing songs, Joshua is determined to let his listeners hear a new sound.

Striving to become a versatile artist, Joshua aspires to take on any challenge in the musical field to expand and push himself to become a better all-rounder musician. Joshua's mission is to write songs that will resonate and bring a positive and uplifting message to his audience.
