Research in our group is centered around synthetic inorganic and organic chemistry, covering important aspects of following disciplines:
1. Organochalcogen chemistry
2. Ligand design
3. Exploration of coordination chemistry of different ligands with platinum group metal complexes
4. Design and synthesis of new class of molecular rotors bearing organochalcogen ligands
5. Understanding the rotational barriers of newly designed molecular rotors
6. Multifold ring closing alkene metathesis reaction as tool to design building blocks
7. Use of these metal complexes and molecular rotors in regioselective catalysis and small molecules activation
