About Me

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. My research focuses on the intersection of air pollution, aerosol science, and public health, with an emphasis on developing lab-based protocols and real-time instruments to sample, detect, and analyze aerosols from ambient air.

I study the toxicological effects of particulate matter (PM) exposure using cellular, acellular, and animal models. My work includes measuring aerosol oxidative potential, detecting airborne viruses, and characterizing the optical and chemical properties of particles. These efforts aim to better understand how air pollution contributes to respiratory, cardiovascular, infectious, and neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease.
