I offer piano lessons for all styles and levels up to the Diploma level. I have been classically trained but also cater towards jazz and pop styles aswell. I believe that classical training is a good foundation for the exploration of other piano music genres. I ensure to meet my students' needs and discuss goals and what they want out of learning piano which is to be done in the initial lesson. I aim to make piano lessons enjoyable but disciplinary with a direction. Sight reading and rhythm are skills that I instill in all my students.
I offer piano accompaniment for all levels of musicians (amateur to professional). Although I have strong skills as a solo pianist, my skillset and talents are much stronger as a collaborative pianist. I have accompanied many ensembles, instruments, choirs and my absolute favourite classical singers. I also provide basic vocal coaching on diction using IPA and basic elements of music such pitch rhythm etc which many singers struggle with due to the demanding nature of singing.
My sight-reading is of a very high level so I am able to provide accompaniment even on short notice.
These skills are often neglected and left as an after thought. I make sure from day 1 that these skills are implemented and I am very conscious of including these with or without textbook/workbook resources.
