I am the Director of Research and Public Policy at the Georgetown-Howard Center for Medical Humanities and Health Justice and an Assistant Professor in Philosophy at Howard University. Before assuming these roles, I was a Hecht-Levi Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Berman Institute of Bioethics at Johns Hopkins University. I earned my PhD in philosophy from Georgetown University, where I explored the intersections of moral and political philosophy and the philosophy of biology, psychology, and the social sciences.
My research explores the link between population health and structural injustice, with a focus on how population health research can inform strategies to combat structural inequities. I am also interested in developing integrative strategies for using quantitative, qualitative, and humanistic methods to improve health and well-being in the DC community .
