Serve in proposal development, including technical lead role in peacebuilding and governance opportunities. Provide technical support as needed on conflict sensitive programming, integrated development, governance and the implementation of the System-wide Collaborative Action to Livelihoods and Environment (SCALE +) methodology to other FHI 360 business units and field projects (Mali, Nepal and Tunisia). Develop curricula and training modules, and train FHI 360 DC and field staff on conflict prevention and sensitive approaches in program design, implementation and evaluation. Track potential development opportunities in peacebuilding sector for CSPD, develop and maintain strategic relationships with development partners and donors.
2010 – 2015: Senior Trainer, Africa Contingency and Training Assistance (ACOTA) program, United States Institute of Peace (USIP), Washington, DC
Worked as a consultant with a team of USIP staff to design the content of the curriculum and facilitate the training of more than 1,500 African peacekeepers on conflict analysis, communication, negotiation, sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) and protection of civilians in conflict and post-conflict contexts. Country battalions trained include: Benin, Burundi, Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Malawi, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Togo, and Uganda. Designed and facilitated a series of Training of Trainers in Senegal, Togo and the United States, on negotiation, protection of civilians, conflict analysis and experiential learning. Co-facilitated a training workshop on negotiation and mediation for ECCAS diplomats in preparation to their mission during the crisis in the Central Africa Republic. Contributed to the design and implementation of the formative evaluation to capture lessons learned from USIP training of peacekeepers through the ACOTA program.

Served as lead evaluator of university-based peace programs funded by the Dutch International Institutes and implemented by the United Nations Peace University. Beneficiary universities were based in the Great Lakes region of Africa (Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda).

Performed youth assessment to inform strategies and approaches to integrate youth livelihood innovative solutions in EG programs. Served as lead rapporteur of a high-level four day multi-stakeholders conference (Sale, Senegal, on May 16-20, 2010) for collaborative action with the Government of Senegal and civil society on anti-corruption strategies, accountability and result-based management in Senegal. Served as lead facilitator of GREAT Senegal (now PGP Senegal) work plan retreat (Gore Island, Senegal, on June 22--29, 2010) on nationwide governance project funded by USAID.

Advised program officers of the Human Rights section on programming related to economic, social and cultural rights. Designed and facilitated a series of collaborative multi-stakeholder training workshops on public policy monitoring by civil society organizations in four departments in Haiti. The series of workshops was concluded with a Training of Trainers in Port-au-Prince.

Conducted field research on youth employment opportunities and life skills development for the Morocco Cross Sectoral Youth Assessment, a partnership between USAID-Morocco, the DC-based cross sectoral Youth Working Group, and the Education Development Center (EDC) which serves as the technical lead on the Cross Sectoral Youth Project (CSYP).

Conducted a series of assignments in Morocco for USAID/ALEF, including master trainer, Training of Trainers and teacher training workshops in Rabat, Morocco. The workshop was organized by USAID/ALEF in Morocco for 50 high school teachers and directors to train and prepare participants to organize training seminars for educators and teachers on the use of information and communication technology in the classrooms. Responsibilities included: training needs assessment, curriculum development, and training facilitation; curriculum design on leadership and change management for USAID/ALEF-Morocco; designed a curriculum on leadership and change management; and facilitated two-month online course on change management for high school teachers in Morocco.

Responsibilities included, advising U.S. agencies, international organizations on issues related to peacebuilding, counter violent extremism and youth livelihood in fragile and post-conflict contexts, management of a network of international consultants in Canada, Cameroon, Niger and Senegal, partnership development with U.S agencies, international NGOs and local organizations in the U.S. and Africa.

Advised the management of Ynternet.org on program development and outreach. Managed the development of a West-African regional capacity building training for young social entrepreneurs on the creation of resource centers for Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Participants to the program came from Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, Mali and Niger.

Managed the design and implementation of innovative training programs on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Through “Netvillage” and its mobile trainers (“Formateurs itinerants”), Mulatako trained more than 400 youth leaders. Led and supported the professional development of a team of five volunteers and five full-time staff.
June 1998 – Aug 1999: Director, AIESEC International, Rotterdam, Netherlands
As one of the five directors, managed and coordinated the strategies and development of AIESEC’s country offices. Co-coordinated AIESEC’s long-term development strategy in Africa and Scandinavia. Facilitated communities of practice as a way of documenting and disseminating lessons learned. Led African and Nordic Leadership Development Seminars for university students from over 25 countries in Riga, Latvia. Oversaw the organization and co-designed the agenda of three International Congresses (Finland, Sweden and Taiwan) with more than 1,000 participants. Developed and oversaw the AIESEC/UNESCO partnership worldwide. Planned and managed the AIESEC/UNESCO roundtable on the theme "Teaching Business Ethics for the 3rd Millennium" Paris, December 3-4, 1998.

Led a team of 10 staff members to design and implement AIESEC’s development plan in Zimbabwe. Built new partnerships with international companies and organizations to support AIESEC’s activities in Zimbabwe. Designed a monitoring and evaluation system to measure the impact of AIESEC’s programs.
